Today, I was...

a God, a city, a frozen land

Today, I was the god of winter and cold, for the last time. I have been a collection of towns, the frozen tundra beyond, the glacier beyond that, and the millennial city beneath the glacier. My name was not my name.

As you emerge from the ruins of Ythryn, out of the Reghed glacier, and start the long trek back to Ten Towns and what might await you beyond there still, you feel something new. Something different. Warmth, as the first ray of sunshine pierces through the clouds, shimmering across the ice and snow. Spring will soon return to the Ten Towns, slowly rebuilding, and with it will come songs of its Heroes, who fought invisible dwarves, evil dragons, powerful gods, and a city from the past of the world. Songs of those fallen, songs of those who survived. Songs to sing next winter, when fear of it never leaving returns, letting their tales offer warmth and comfort.

It's 6th August 2026. The first time I am this god is April 2023.
